Chapter 5: Tomorrow

Chapter 5: Tomorrow
One year later...
The advocacy center had helped hundreds of children.
Some found justice.
Some found new families.
Some simply found the courage to say one word.
"Help."
On the anniversary of the center's opening...
Sophie replaced the old photograph of the security camera with something new.
A picture filled with smiling children.
Different faces.
Different stories.
The same hope.
As everyone celebrated outside...
A volunteer walked toward her.
"Someone left another envelope."
Again...
No return address.
Inside was only a small silver key.
And a note.
"When you're ready... open the truth they buried."
No explanation.
No name.
Sophie looked toward the crowded playground.
Children laughed beneath the afternoon sun.
Evelyn smiled from across the yard.
For a long moment...
Sophie closed her hand around the key.
Then she slipped it into her pocket.
Not because she feared the truth.
But because she finally understood something.
Some battles are fought in court.
Others are fought by giving people a future.
She turned back toward the children.
Behind her...
The unanswered mystery remained.
Ahead of her...
A hundred new stories were waiting to be changed.
And somewhere...
Another child was still hoping that someone would believe them.
May you like
Perhaps...
That story would be next.
