The trial of Victor Romano concluded on a rainy Tuesday morning. The courtroom was packed to maximum capacity with journalists, former associates, and federal agents. Victor sat at the defense table, his youthful arrogance entirely drained, replaced by the hollow stare of a man who realized his cards had finally run out.
Lucas sat in the front row, his posture relaxed, his arm gently resting around Emma's shoulders for support.
